• Ohakune Police are investigating the theft of a 50cc Yamaha moto-x bike, taken from a Raetihi address overnight on 9 September. • Police are investigating the theft of four ski jackets, gloves and hats from the drying room of the Alpine Motel in Miro Street, Ohakune overnight on 8 September. • A Toyota Hilux taken from Turoa Lodge overnight on 8 September was recovered beside the Ohakune Carrot on State Highway 49 the following day. Enquiries are continuing into the theft. • Offenders removed a number of items of property including a motor mower, water pump and saddle from a shed on an Ohura Road, Raetihi, property sometime between 8-10 September. • Police are currently in possession of a large number of false identifications that were used to purchase lift tickets at Turoa Ski Resort during the August School holidays. Around 40 complaints were received, all relating to the fraudulent use of identification. Ohakune Police are investigating each complaint with appropriate action to follow. • A pair of Arnett sunglasses valued at $360.00 were stolen from the office of Turoa Ski Resort sometime between 24-29 August. Inquiries are continuing.
