If you like to unwind to some live music, you'll be fully unwound after August. There is a wide variety of performers appearing throughout the Ruapehu region this month. Hot Lava have a packed line-up featuring The Larry Morris Band (4 Aug ), Circus Animals (1 1, 30, 31 Aug), Hello Sailor (12 Aug), The Susans (17 Aug), Upper Hutt Posse (18 Aug), The Exponents (19 Aug), Shihad (24 Aug), and Midge Marsden (27 Aug). Bar Tribe are host to Nothing At All (3 Aug). At the Turoa Ski Lodge in August you can catch Marty & Kipper (8 & 29 Aug 8), Gabriel Hounds (15 Aug). The Powderkeg have The Abba Revi val Band (3 Aug — didn't we suffer enough in the 70' s?- ed.), Dr Jazz (10 Aug), and the Priscilla Band (17 or 31 Aug). The Grand Chateau have live music Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights in Trails Bar, with Hello Sailor (13 Aug). Denny Behrens performs in the Ruapehu Room restaurant every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Schnapps Bar at National Park also have a busy August planned, with live music planned for most Thursday and Saturday nights throughout the month. You can catch Riff Raff (3 & 5 Aug), Circus Animals (10 & 12 Aug), The Susans (19 Aug), and Coro Blues (24 & 26 Aug) At Lorenz's Bar & Cafe you can catch Condition Red in the evening on 5 August; the Banhoff Bavarian Band on Wednesday 23 August; Off the Cuff on Friday 25 August; When the Cat's Been Spayed on Saturday 26 August; and Fiddler on the Hoof on Wednesday 30 August.
