'Refined' Skiriffic back for another year

The Grand Chateau 's own ski package, Skiriffic, is back for another year due to its exceptional popularity. The Skiriffic package has a three day option and a five day option, both of which will be available for the 1995 ski season. Grand Chateau general manager Chris Griffin says Skiriffic was designed especially for the New Zealand section of the ski market, and that it has developed over the past four years into the 'right' product for customers. "We looked at it over the last couple of years and refined it by asking people what they thought were the good things about it, and what were the bad things," he says. "We finally ended up with the right Skiriffic package last year." Other aspects of the package that have proved very popular are invitations to the General Manager' s cocktail parties and wine tastings, and free use of the golf course and clubs. Chris says that an indication of the demand for Skiriffic is that the phone rings non-stop every time an ad is placed in one of the major metropolitan newspapers. He says the hotel is looking forward to another busy season, and expects this year to be busier than ever.
