Standing up for the right to cutting down

• Recently the New Zealand Federation of Indigenous Forest Owners & Associates Incorporated was formed

with branches all over New Zealand. Would any Waimarino residents both from town and country who are concerned or who have been disadvantaged under the Resource Management Act (RMA) or the Forest Ammendment Act (FAA) please contact Lionel West, your local representative, on 385-4688 evenings, or phone & fax 385-4389 to voice your concern. Any concerned people are invited to a meeting at the Manunui Club at Taumarunui on 21 August at 10am. Guest speakers will be Jim O'Regan (Reefton) & Ray 'Malcolm (Hamilton retired accountant) who will voice their concerns about the above acts. Our aims are the repeal of the Forest Ammendment Act and at least ammendment of the Resource Management Act. This is very dictatorial legislation and needs consideration from town and country people alike. Lionel West
