Remanded to Tauranga

Gene Henare, 21, fruit worker of Tauranga, was remanded to the Tauranga District Court on 3 August for a probation officers report and sentence after

pleading guilty to a charge of driving while disqualified in Grey Street, Raetihi, on 24 May. Court heard how Henare was seen by a police patrol car while driving in Grey Street. He sped off and drove up a driveway of a house the owners of which he did not know. He was then arrested.
