Library week was celebrated around the country last week with Waiouru being no exception. Prizes of books and badges were given to those lucky enough to find a sticker hidden in the hundreds of children' s books the library holds. Librarian Lee-Anne Sharp said prizes are still being given away as about half of the stickers haven't been found. Also still up for grabs are prizes for the word puzzle and colouring-in competitions. The competitions will run until mid-July with late entries being accepted, said Mrs Sharp. The final activity for Waiouru' s library week was a storytelling session and balloon give away which attracted about 20 children. A speciai storytelling session was also held earlier in the week for Waiouru Playcentre kids.
