Waimarino Golf
On Sunday the Waimarino Presidents Trophy team
hosted their Feilding counterparts in a round of match play. On the day both sides were evenly matched with the honours being shared and the final outcome was a rdraw, 3 wins, 3 losses and two were halved. The club also ran its normal cltib day with the support and sponsorship from Wrightson's and Price's Pharmacy. Ladies; 1st S. Lind 41; 2nd G. White 35; 3rd H. Hammond 35. Juniors; 1st C. Heinold42; 2nd J. Whale 41; 3rd W. McDonnell 35; 4th G. Lind 35. Seniors; 1st M. Wilson 40 (Feilding); 2nd D. Grant 38 (Fld); 3rd J. Ennis 38; 4th G. Imhoff 38. Starting this coming Thursday there will be a midweek haggle with Tee off at 1 2. 30pm. It will be an 18 hole event open to all. Next Sunday the mens pennant team will travel to Halcombe to play in the final round of the competition. Going into this match Waimarino is on top of the ladder and another good win would see them promoted into the B Grade.
