Arts and crafts
The fourth Tuesday of the month of May saw the Waimarino Art and Crafts Society hold another clay modelling get-together at The Junction. Discussing the forthcoming primary school centenary celebrations, members pledged their support for an exhibition of art and craft work by former pupils, to be placed on display on school premises over the Waitangi weekend 1996. The committee elected for the coming year are: Merle Weller, Desna Winchcombe, Libby Tuthill, Doddie Fetzer and Jane Woodhouse. The next meeting is to be held 27 June.
