Smokefree college-free
• I'm just as disappointed as the rest of our supporters and our performers when we didn't appear on the finals on Sunday night , 4 June, Smokefree Stage Challenge 1995. To our amazement it seems that the producers of the show had different rules from what we understood. Ruapehu College won the Palmerston North final which put us in the national final. Until Sunday night we did not know that only six of the eight regional finalists would be chosen to be televised. Obviously we are one of the two schools that missed out. That may have been okay if we'd been informed that this would be the case. But what a disappointment when we weren't on it. I'm glad we had the opportunity to show some of our community our performance at Hot Lava's Fashion Parade '95. Those of you who saw it will agree that they are
still winners in their own right. They were great.
