Aerial photography

Most of the photography has been completed that the Ruapehu District Council commissioned to update its aerial photographs which are used to assist its engineering section. The photographs will also provide base material for the Mainstreet concept design. Ruapehu residents may have noticed newly painted white manhole covers on tKe streets of Taumarunui, Raetihi and Ohakune, which show up in the photographs to accurately place various council services. Staff are currently undertaking surveys to obtain accurate measurements to assist printing the photographs to the correct scale.
