Gracious non-reply
• It was gracious of the Ruapehu District mayor to respond to my letter regarding proposed Powderhorn parking but he failed rather conspicuously to answer any of the points raised. Presumably the parking problem was not addressed when the Powderhorn was granted planning permission. We are going to hasten into a short term solution (option) as the Thames Street option (solution) is not available for a few months. Because the idea is not new it must be all right, and we are not going to be told for how long we will be without that desirable grassed area. If cogent reasons for the proposed action exist, is it unreasonable we should be informed of them instead of being treated as though we have no brains, and then perhaps we could compromise to a degree as well.
