Mangawhero car park opposed
Waimarino Mainstreet is unanimous in their support of a letter (not the one on Page 4) expressing strong opposition to the proposal to convert part of the Mangawhero River reserve near the Powderhorn into a car park. The writer of the letter listed some strong arguments against the proposal. The Mainstreet committee endorsed a decision to forward a copy of the letter to mayor Garrick Workman, his Council and the Chief Executive Officer of the Ruapehu District Council.
