Thanks farmers
It is through your paper I wish to express my extreme gratitude to the clients I have dealt with in my time at Waimarino Livestock as a livestock clerk and
Williams & Kettle as a merchandise clerk. It is these clients who made my job much easier by their understanding when things don't always go as planned, their willingness to bear with me and above all, their humour. It has been said that working in the farming industry is very hard for women. However, it's been my experience that most farmers are more than willing to accept women into their domain, providing they are willing to work. I would especially like to thank the clients who dealt with Waimarino Livestock. In a small community it is small businesses that are the lifeblood of the community and local business that keeps the locals employed. I found farmers often willing to pay that little bit more in support of local business. The support of Waimarino Livestock was marvellous. I am very proud to have worked in a sector of the local economy that makes such a large contribution to the well-being of the community. In closing I would once again like to say thank you to the farmers in the Waimarino area.
