More masters

Following the recent Bulletin article about Waimarino winners from the recent New Zealand Masters competitions in Wanganui, other successful participants have come to light. Equestrian events proved a medal-mine at Wanganui, with Christine Reynolds winning two golds and Bernice Frost winning two silvers. They competed in the equestrian, dressage, one day event and show jumping. Evelyn Cooper was also successful, bagging four golds a silver and a bronze in her events. And Lew Cadwallader won gold in the 40km endurance ride for the 55 plus section. Gordon Mottram, a three-gold medal winner in 1993, won the silver in the pistol shooting, scoring the same 741 points as the gold winner, but taking three more shots to do it. He won the golds in the NRA and Steel Challenge.
