In reply to L Howard, re "Ulysses club for motorcyclists". The above club is invited to Raetihi by the Waimarino Rest Home Trust with the express purpose of raising funds for the trust. We are not associated with the A&P Show, and it is coincidental that the rally is held on the same day. It was incorrectly advertised that we would be at the show. As a sign of good will we decided to ride slowly past. Please bear in mind that large motorcycles can be difficult to handle at slow speeds, such as the parade. Showing bikes is a pfoblem as most owners will not leave them unattended & prefer them locked up. We have activities arranged immediately after they arrive, and after a long ride only wish to take off protective clothing & socialise. We regret you missed out, but if you would like to see the bikes (next time) go to the camping grounds or the Police ski lodge. The latter I would like to give a special thank you to for your participation and apologise for not including you in last week's thankyous. We have a wonderful evening at the Waimarino Club. Come and talk motorcycles all night. Better still, buy a badge and assist the trust.
