Land swap

An exchange of land near the bridge across the Mangateitei Stream in Burns Street Ohakune was approved by the Ruapehu District Council at their February meeting. The swap sees the applicant, the Waitangi Falls Trust on behalf of Mr K Sutton, give the council an area of land covered in native bush to the council, to become part of the adjacent scenic reserve, in return for a piece of land for his access that is land-locked pasture (not forested). The applicant was to pay all costs associated with the swap.
