The highlight for this year's 84th Waimarino Agricultural and Pastoral Show will undoubtedly be the presentation of the charter for the Freedom of the District of Ruapehu, to
Waiouru's 4th Logistic Regiment. The district' s mayor, Garrick Workman, requested that Raetihi be considered as the appropriate venue for the presentation due to its long association with the 4th Field Supply Company. It is believed that some 200 troops will gather at the showgroundonSaturday 18 February at 12pm. Prior to the charter being presented there will be an inspection of the troops by His Wor-
ship, The Commanding officer, LT. Col. G.D. Cain, and other distinguished military personnel. A parade will take place and a luncheon is planned for the town's guests at the Raetihi Cosmopolitan Club. As his worship has said, "this will be a unique occasion for Raetihi", and it is expected to attract many visitors from outside the district. All that is needed is for the weather to be in the town's favour.
