Raetihi Hotel will once again play host and sponsor for the forthcoming speed shearing competition, due to commence 8pm Friday 10 February. If last year is any thing to go by it will no doubt prove to be very successful. Although speed is the main essence of the competition, quality is also considered
and the standard must be of a reasonable level, as seen in the sheds, said Jimmy Edmonds, this year's event organiser. There are usually 2-3 judges and competitions are judged on a red or green light system - green passes, red is disqualified. So, for all these interested supporters remember the date 10 February, Raetihi Hotel.
