Swing bridge vandalism repaired

Damage to the Jubilee Park, Ohakune, swing bridge by varidals on 16 January has been repaired. About five metres of decking was ripped up and thrown into the stream. Ruapehu Construction Limited (RCL) was called out and they repaired the bridge immediately, the Waimarino Community B oard was told last week. The following night, Tuesday 17 January, deck-

ing from the Ohakune Raetihi Road bridge was ripped up and also thrown into the stream.

Once again RCL was called out to repair the damage. It is understood the offenders were apprehended.
