New Year party not a patch on other years?
The Bulletin has received a report of a New Year's reveller who couldn't 'revel' as much as she might have wished. Paulette Richards was at the Junction on 31 December to see in the New Year, as well as the fireworks. Unfortunately she saw the fireworks a bit too well as a skyrocket hit her in the cheek just below the eye. As she has done the right thing and walked to the festivities rather than drive, she had to call onthe local constabulary to dri ve her to the hospital to get the wound seen to. After being patched up (arr, arr me hearties!??), she had to again call on the blues boys to take her back to the party, her excuse being she had to go back and look after her daughter. The question is, do the police charge extra for New Year's Eve taxi services?
