• A theft was discovered at Te Kouka P1 chalet on Monday 12 December, where copper piping had been removed from beneath the building. Over $1500 worth of damage was reported. • OvernightThursday 15 December graffiti was spray ed on the Waimarino Museum building in Raetihi. This is upsetting as the Museum is community-owned and staffed by volunteers. • A burglary was discovered at an Islington Street, Raetihi, residence Thursday 15 December where the inside of the building had been trashed. • 1 1 Christmas Trees on Seddon Street, Raetihi, were ripped from their poles and strewn across the street on Saturday 17 December. This was also disturbing as the trees were placed with volunteer labour by the local Boy Scout group. • An intoxicated female was found crawling along Clyde Street on Saturday night 17 December. She was returned to her home by Police. • Two television aerials were found to be stolen from chalets in Park Ave, Ohakune, on Sunday 18 December. • A burglary was discovered in Raetihi Swimming Club offices in Raetihi on Monday 19 December. First aid and swimming equipment and clothing had been strewn around the room in what police said was another senseless act of vandalism of community-owned and operated facilities.
