Banker leaves

After two years at Westpac Waiouru, manager Colleen Maher is off to Linton, near Palmerston North. Ms Maher came to Waiouru to open up the Waiouru branch of Westpac and get it going. Ms Maher considers herself a local as her parents live in Taihape where she was born and bred. Despite this she said she is looking forward to her move to Linton. "I'm going to work part time and won't have to work so hard," she says with a laugh. Ms Maher said the staff at Westpac have been extremely busy over the past few weeks due to the closure of the Waiouru branch of Postbank. Ms Maher and her family leave for Linton this week. "Just me and my three wise men." (Husband Paul Galloway along with children Dale and Simon.)
