Waimarino golf

On Sunday the Alpine Restaurant and Beedees Cafe mixed foursomes was held. In very windy conditions some excellent golf was played. Visitors came from Taupo, Wanganui, Palmerston North and Feilding. Steve Gray on 125; 2nd B Frost and K Roddick, 131; 3rd P Mcllroy and W Marsh, 135; 4th J Williamson and RTaoa, 138. A M Stapleford winners were C and K Leary; P M Par winners D Knapp and M MacNeill, 6 up. Tree Iron for most golf was won by B MacDonnell and L Todd with 226., Only two Two's were scored on the day by A Pritt and D Herewini, P Mcllroy and W Marsh. Pat and Waynes' wasunusualinthe fact that it was on hole 10 a par four. Lucky number draw for $215 was won by R Harwoon who unfortunately was not present so it now jackpots. Members are reminded that twilight golf starts this Thursday with sponsors night. Tee off between 4 and 6pm. Closing day for the season is next Sunday, after the round there will be a prize-giving.
