Waterways gamblers event
Sunday saw 57 competitors take part in cross country and show jumping with
the 14 - 16 year age group riders able to gain maximum points in both phases. The six new portable jumps recently built by two keen Dads and their helpers and partially financed by a grant from the Wanganui Trust Bank Community Trust added interest to the course. Results: Class I lOyrs & under: lst Virginia Morris - Fidget; 2nd Briar McGregor - Tamsin; 3rd Michelle Fredricksen - Misty. Class 2 11 - 13yrs: lst Trudi Cochrane - Hamal; 2nd Marni McGregor Sharebroker; 3rd Nicola Smith - Pal-O-Mine; 4th Cameron Morris - Summer. Class 3 Novice Open: lst Jim Hyland -Horse; 2nd Joanne Marama - Seika; 3rd Brenda Pointon - Dakota; 4th Evelyn Cooper - Mountain Fox ; Class 4 1 4 - 1 6yrs : lst Shelley Gotlieb - Ascot; 2nd Amanda Garland - The Shadow; 3rd Marnie Wenn - Highland Guard; 4th Victoria Duigan - Chamahl. Class 5 17yrs & over: lst Helene Godfrey - Sox; 2nd Kerri Stratford - Metallica; 3rd Graeme Revell - Jeeves.
