Senior Citizens report

The Ohakune Senior Citizens had a most enjoyable trip to Taupo recently, firstly visiting the Prawn Park in Huka Falls Road where they took the guided tour, then along to the "Honey Hive" where they sampled the various types of honey and made purchases. Next it was back into Taupo for lunch and more shopping. Later they drove through the Botanical Gardens (twice, due to missing the exit) where they admired all the azaleas and rhododendrons. A lot were still in bud but those that were in bloom were very lovely. ' It was deemed to be a most satisfying day, enjoyed by all. The club's monthly meetings are held in the Lions Den, Arawa St, on first Wednesday of each month, and more members are welcome.
