Women's touch

by

ossie

The Ohakune-Karioi Women' s Rugby team will be fielding a Women's touch team over the summer. The team will either play atOhakuneor Waioum on a weekly basis until midMarch of next year. The spirit and intent of the team is to promote and maintain an already high moral and team unity . Playing touch rugby provides fitness, ball-skills and team communication, and helps in development of younger potential rugby players who may not be ready for the bumps and bruises of fullcontact rugby. There is a practice tonight, Tuesday 4 October 6.30pm at the OhakuneKarioi rugby club-rooms. All previous players are welcome to play. Any ladies who would like to play rugby next year or just be supporters for the women' s rugby team are more than welcome to play in the touch rugby team as well.
