Raffle stolen
• The Waimarino Rest Home committee were devastated recently when the $100 Grocery raffle was stolen when the Raetihi shop was burgled. To date
no person has been charged but enqiiiries are continuing. The following day Ohakune and Raetihi retailers rallied around and donated goods to the value of $300 to replace the stolen raffle. A very big thank yqu to those people for your very generous donations. This raffle will not be on display at the Rest Home shop although tickets for it are on sale. Those folk who had purchased tickets in the previous raffle have had their numbers transferred to the new raffle. V oluntary helpers to help man the shop for a few hours a day are still needed, especially from Ohakune and surrounding areas. The Rest Home is going to be for
everyone in the district who needs it. If you have some spare time we would love to hear from you. Please leave your name at the Rest Home shop in Raetihi or contact D Scarrow or F Wise.
