Gym club has room for more

Recreational Gymnastics started for Term 3 last week with gymnasts and coaches looking forward to another term of Kiwi fun gymnastics. New head coach Margaret Bennelick says that more children and especially their parents will be more than welcome at today's session starting at 3.30pm at the Ruapehu College Gymnasium. Training lasts for an hour and three quarters with children being supervised through the Kiwi gym fun curriculum. Those that show aptitude toward rhthymic gymnastic are encouraged to join the competition squad which trains separately 2-3 times per week in preparation for competitions around the central

North Island. The Wanganui Motors sponsored club has, over the last 15 years, amassed an impressive collection of National Representatives, national, North Island and regional championships and is hoping to continue this grand record next year. The club is one of the best equipped in the country with in excess of $100,000 worth of gymnastic equipment. A team of six parent coaches have agreed to help Margaret coach the children this term and it is hoped that any children interested in gymnastics will come to today's session and join the team.
