Community care programme
Joseph Hohepa Beckham, 27, bushman of Rangataua, appeared for sentence for assaulting a female — his de-facto partner — on 20 May. In convicting and sentencing defendant to a 12month community care programme, Judge Watson commented that the on-go-ing problem seemed to revolve around alcohol, according to the probation officers report. "Both of you enjoy your alcohol but then get involved in arguments". Counsel: Gary Johnson.
