Open air concert

Whakapapa's first open air concert is being held in Happy Valley on 7 September featuring New Zealand's own leading band, Headless Chickens. The concert also marks the group's last appearance before they head off on a overseas tour. A covered stage, five metres by 12 metres, is coming from Wellington for the three-hour concert which kicks off at 7.00. Licensed bar staffs and Bar-B-Ques are being erected in Happy Valley for the concert and the Bistro will also remain open serving food.
