Badminton club news

Ohakune Badminton Club had a fun night for the juniors on Sunday night. Each child had to bring a parent or care-giver to play with as their partner. The response was o verwhelming, thanks to all the parents that came and made it so enjoyable. All couples were split into two groups — players and non-players. Winners of the players were Andre and Lauren with 40 points and the losers were Nola and Dwayne with 26 points. Winners of the non-players were Paul and Cory with 44 points and losers were Mark

and Pat with 27 points. Other players were Rory and Kevin, Ian and Sam, Justin and Bob, Anne and Kirsty, Tom and Shannon, W ayne and Nolana, Graeme and Rebecca, Colin and Vicki, Colin and Michelle, Briar and Donna, Lois and Rebecca, Jenny and Mark, Shelley and Allan. Thanks to everyone for making the whole night a lot of fun. Senior players are reminded there is no more badminton on a Monday night. Senior club night is now on Sunday night at 7.30pm.

Interclub ffinals Ohakune Badminton Club hosted the Wanganui Badminton Association In-ter-club finals on Sunday. Grades B and C played off for the trophies. Once again Ohakune managed to keep all three trophies in the area. 'A' res, B and C. Badminton FROM PAGE 11 (Colin and Cath Cranston each also played a tie shared with Sarah and Steve) lost to Gonville 2/6 and won against Wanganui 4/4 on a points count. C Grade - Tania Shields, Jenny Murdie, Nigel Shields and Darryl Shields beat Gonville 6/2 and Wanganui 5/3. Cups were presented to all winning Ohakune teams.
