Reward for bank robbery leads
A $2000 reward has been offered to anyone who can provide information that will lead to the apprehension and conviction of the Raetihi bank robber, who stole in excess of $5000 on 24 June. The man walked into the bank, pulling a balaclava over his face as he walked up to the counter and demanded money, threatening staff with a pistol. Police believe the person is known in the area. Anyone with information is asked to contact either Detective Richard Anderson at the Taumarunui Police Station or Detective Sergeant Kevin Coffey at the Taihape Police Station. Det Anderson said people with information would be assured confidentiality.
