Waiouru post office moving

By Michele Monaghan Final negotiations are underway for the moving of Waiouru' s postal services from the Armed Forces Garrison Institute to Shell Waiouru. John Connor of New Zealand Post said that a tentative date of 10 October has been set for the changeover. "This date is still to be confirmed after further consultation with Shell," said Mr Connor.

Private boxes and the 'Posties' will be re-located to the Shell service station at the same time, he said. Mr Connor assured the Bulletin that there would be no loss of services for the Waiouru community and said notification of changes would be given to customers two weeks prior to the change.
