Paul Gellatly has been appointed Chief Executive of Ruapehu Construction Limited and takes up his duties on Monday 22 August. Mr Gellatly is a registered engineer with an honours degree in civil engineering. For the last 10 years he has been working as contracts manager for a private company carrying out work largely for local authorities and Central Government. Prior to that he worked for a number of companies both in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Mr Gellatly has a wide range of experience in construction contracts over a wide scale and diversity. Mr Gellatly said he is looking forward to taking over the reins of a relatively new business and considers the position an exciting challenge. He is married with two grown children. As a keen fisherman he is well acquainted with the rivers of the central North Island and hopes to find the time for some fishing and boating during his time in the district.
