Water loss for National Park

National Park township was without water for the better part of a day last week when a supply pipe fractured. It took Ruapehu Constmction Limited personnel until late on Thursday evening to locate the fracture that occurred in an unused water supply lateral in Ward Street

that had been running into a drain on vacant land. This was isolated and repaired the following day. In the meantime the town' s reservoir ran out of water, leaving several residents and businesses on higher ground without water.
