RDC representation at Hidaka festival
Mayor Garrick Workman and deputy mayor Graeme Cosford are to attend the New Zealand Festival in Hidaka, Japan later this month, Mr Workman stressed to the Bulletin following a recent story. A delegation from Hidaka visited here last September and invited a Ruapehu delegation to return to Hidaka. Mayor Garrick Workman has invited any interested business people in the Ruapehu district to join the delegation. He
said he would also like to see as many Ruapehu businesses represented as possible, and also asks any interested businesses to submit brochures and/or pamphlets to be takentothe Festival. "It is important that the Ruapehu district is represented to the Japanese market as effectively as possible. As there will be a 'Ruapehu corner' at the Festival it is an excellent opportunity for local Ruapehu businesspeople to market their business."
