Next Tuesday's 'Heartland' documentary should be of special interest to viewers in the Waimarino. Titled 'The Easter Hunt' it follows TV One's presenter, Gary McCormick, during his week-long visit earlier this year during which he takes part in the annual pig hunt with locals Tom and Ray Spry. He also chats with Craig 'Bango' Patterson and goes trout fishing in local rivers. Ohakune market gardener May Young takes him carrot harvesting while 'Baldy' Haitana tells him about Pipiriki and life along the Whanganui River. The programme is due to screen next Tuesday 5 July on TV One at 8.35pm.
