More money for Christie Park project

The Waimarino Community Board approved a further $4000 towards the proposed Christie Park playground at last week's monthly meeting. Chairman Colin Webb received a late submission from the Ohakune Plunket Committee, requesting further funding for the project.

The committee's initial estimation of $10,000 for the proj ect had since ri sen to $ 1 3 ,000 to allo w for the purchase of high quality play equipment. Spokesperson for the Ohakune Plunket committee, Cathy Horne, said the committee have a total of $8,500 for the project already.
