Waiouru RSA Darts

Club night results for 14 June 1994: the club played a singles night of 301, straight start & double finish, best of three games. The final conclusion for the night was a play-off between Brian & Popey both with scores of 16/18. The play-off game was 501, straight start and double finish, "do or die" one game. Popey took the game in a nail biting finish. There were no high starts for the night as all games were straight starts. Highest score for the night was shared by : Bruce with 3 x 140s, Brian with two 140s and Muzzer, Luana & Popey all with 1 x 140. To spread the prizes around for the night it was decided to have a play-off of the highest score out of three darts for all 140s. The end result of this was Muzzer 21 , Bruce 26, Luana 43, Popey 81 and Brian 26. Popey taking another prize for the night. Highest finish for the night went to Mai with 96. Lowest score and winner of the wooden spoon went to Luana with a score of one out of three darts. There was a "hard luck" prize given to Bruce who had 1 7 1 to finish and scored 120 with his first two darts but his third dart scored 5 1 . The Dart Club starts a new and hopefully well supported Junior Darts Club on Sunday 19 June at.2pm in the RSA. This is open to all children aged between 10-18 whose parents are RSA members. There are two requirements: At least one parent must accompany children attending.; and there are a limited number of darts available so parents are encouraged to bring thei own darts. "Remember, we can only get this club up and running with your support and what better way to spend those cold winter Sunday after-

noons than in a warm friendly atmosphere watching your children learn a upcoming professional sport," said a spokesperson.
