Waimarino Golf

With the pennant away a small field contested the Sunday Haggle. Some excellent scores in the juniors with Andrew Murdie scoring an 86 for 43 points, winning the meat pack. Ron Martin scored 42 points for second. Alan Murdie completed a good day for the Murdie family by coming third on 39 points. In the seniors Neil Leitz on 38 points won the meat pack and Michael Lloyd on 36 points was second. The pennant team travelled to Halcombe to play T aihape. On a cold, wet and windy day the team had three wins thanks to good play by Andrew Condon and Neil Black. Wayne Marsh and Gary Imhoff had close games but both lost. The Zones team to play Waiouru this Sunday 26 June is Michael Lloyd, John Hammond, Andrew Condon and Grant Fountain. A reminder to all members that Sunday 26 July is the first round of qualifying for club championships. Thanks to Ohakune New World for sponsoring Sunday' s competition.
