Health centre plans

Good Health Wanganui hopes to start work on the new health centre in Seddon Street Raetihi by the end of July, depending on the resource consent process. The CHE intends to make the plans public once they are drawn up. The new centre will house a birthing unit, five bedrooms and physiotherapy, radiography and outpatient facilities. GHW anticipates it will be open Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm, but open 24 hours a day as and when required. The existing service levels will remain unchanged until the new building opens, said adult health manager Jan Bulteel-Adams.
