Police disco again

The second Blue Light Disco for the Waimarino is on this Friday 24 June, with the venue being the top of the Ohakune Club. The first Blue Light Disco held on Friday 6 May attracted around 90 primary and secondary school pupils. Primary school pupils attended a junior syndicate disco while a second session was run for the senior syndicate later on in the night. Free bus Once again a free bus will be run between Raetihi and Ohakune, leaving the bus stop opposite Raetihi 4-Square at 5.10pm (junior) and 7.45pm (senior). The juniors' disco will run from 5.30pm-7. 1 5pm, with a cover charge of $2. The senior disco will commence at 8pm and conclude at 1 1pm, and cost pupils $3. Co-ordinator, Raetihi Constable Steve Hart, saidticket saies will be limited to door saies on the night, with no pass-outs permitted. Participants are in line for spot prizes throughout the night. Constable Hart said that both discos will have police and volunteer supervision. Anyone interested in assisting in supervising at tatare discos are invited to contact either Raetihi or Ohakune Police Station.
