Strong play by Waiouru Bobcats

The Waiouru Bobcats Premieres and Reserves played very hard and entertaining games on Saturday. The reserves played a very strong game, although experienced a disappointing loss of 22-6 to Marton. Player of the day was Vance Spooner and kicking for the reserves was Damon White. The home try was scored by Y onek Dudek. Well done team. The premieres played extremely well, although also lost to Marton, 22-10, All players performed superbly as a team. Player of the day was Scott Leevey who played exceptionally well. Try scorer was Dale Jenkins while kicking for the premieres was Mike Bailles. This was one of Mike's last games for the Bobcats as he is posted to Burnham Camp this week. He has been involved with and played for the team for the past three years. The team members, committee and supporters wish he and Bronwyn all the best in Burnham. Special thanks are extended to all supporters who braved the wet and cold to offer encouragement to the teams.
