Ruapehu district drainage costs drop

The Ruapehu District Council is budgetting for a net decrease in district drainage spending in the 1994/95 financial year, down from $385,000 in 1993/94 to $353,000. Only Waiouru indicates an increased expenditure on district drainage. Sewage treatment: the 1994/95 budget estimate of $4000 is 10% less than the 1993/94 budget of $4400.

National Park Sewerage reticulation: the 1994/95 budget estimate of $2500 is 28.5% less than the 1993/94 budget of $3,500. Sewage treatment: the 1 994/95 budget estimate of $6000 is 43% more than the 1993/94 budget of$4200. Pipiriki Sewerage reticulation: the 1 994/95 budget estimate of $3800 is 53% less than the 1993/94 budget of $8100. Sewage treatment: the 1 994/95 budget estimate of $4500 is 42% less than the 1993/94 budget of $7800. Waiouru Sewerage reticulation: the 1 994/95 budget estimate

of $5500 is an increase of 112% above the 1993/94 budget. Sewage treatment: the sewage treatment is undertaken by the NZ Army and

the costs relating to sewage treatment is a payment to the Army. These costs have been estimated at $9800 for the 1994/95 year based on discussions with the Army.
