New man in property
Waimarino' s new real estate agent is not new to the area, having been a regular winter visitor over the past 15 years. Alan Inglis hails from Wellington where he worked in property and retailing. Now an Ohakune resident, he has taken on the job of real estate saies person for Challenge Taumarunui Real Estate, covering the Waimarino. Work, an interest in the ski fields and the area in general, and the fact that he has a lot of friends here already have been the drawcards to make the permanent move. Taumarunui Real Estate proprietor Terry Podmore said his company had covered the Waimarino from its Taumarunui base and that
this had been effective in providing basic coverage. He said to do the job properly with the rapid growth in the market, it was important they had a full-time
resident salesperson. The company also has a resident Raetihi salesperson currently being trained, ready to apply for a licence to operate in the area.
