Lift goes up
UP WITH THE NEW: Turoa and Doppelmayr staff work quickly to secure one of the towers of the new quad chairlift while maintenance man Paddy Chambers climbs the tower to detach the strop from the huge Russian-built helicopter hovering above. The team worked hard to muscle the towers, some over four tonnes, onto the bolts in the concrete bases last Thursday as the helicopter lowered them into place.
