Ohakune Junior Badminton Rep News: On Sunday 24 April seven rep players from Ohakune attended the under 14,16 & 18, Central Districts Competition. Donna Cranston, Eileen

V oon and Sarah Lind played in the Wanganui No. 1 under 14 rep team winning against Wanganui 3 16-0, Orua 151 , and Manawatu 1 3-3 . This puts them through to the finals later in the year. Tania Shields and Jenny Murdie both played at No. 1 position for the Wanganui 2 and 3 teams. Both girls played well but the two teams were beaten overall onthe day. Wanganui under 1 6 & 1 8 No.l rep teams were also unbeaten on the day. Cathy Cranston and Katrina Marsh played in the No.2 team and found the other teams a bit too tough, finding themselves trying to win points more than games. All the girls will be going to the Nationals in the May holidays and will be holding a car wash in Ohakune on Saturday 7 May 10am, to help pay for expenses. Thanks are extended from the club to parents who provided transport and to Cath Campbell for letting the girls wear the college netball uniform.
