Police response disappoints
• On Sunday 20 March an alarm in Rangataua was set off at roughly 3.00am. The police were notified twice of the incident. We are really disappointed that it took the police 45 minutes to respond to the call. We were not amused with their attitude towards
their lack of inspection of the house. Later there was evidence of an attempted break-in found later by the owner. We feel that the owner should not have had to come up from Wellington to turn the alarm off, when there
was a key to the alarm being held in Ohakune. We all know about Neighbourhood Watch, but what can you do when the police response takes 45 minutes?
Disappointed of Rangataua.
