Three guests from Palmerston North attended the recent meeting of the Ruapehu International Training in Communication meeting night. In giving her evaluation president of Council 8, Val Brazier, said they were privileged to have three Council 8 members in the Club and commended them on great club spirit. Council 8 member Angela Young conducted an excellent workshop on writing a report. Council 8 member Jan Turpin gave a detailed evaluation of Francie Geraghty's speech congratulating her on her delivery and style. The programme of academy awards was well presented by club president Keitha Joumeaux, who tied the theme together using various film titles. Interested visitors are invited to the Council 8 Prepared Speech Contest to be held at Ruapehu College on Saturday 16 April starting at 1.30pm. This promises to be an entertaining event.
