Ohakune Squash news

The Ohakune Squash Rackets Club in association with King Country Longrun had their D Grade Tournament over the weekend of 8-9 April. There were 56 entries to the tournament and competitors came from various clubs as far away as Foxton and Taupo. The results were: Mens Division 1 - lst, John Laurenson, Ohakune; 2nd Alan Pratt, Ohakune. Mens Division 2: lst, Darren Triggell, Ohakune; 2nd, Carol Holt, Taupo. Mens Division 3: lst, Bruce Cranston, Ohakune; 2nd, John Tupara, Taupo. Mens Division 4: lst, Sydney Mott, Waimarino; 2nd, Brian Morrissey, Ohakune. Womens Division 1: lst,

Robyn Pratt, Ohakune; 2nd, Rebecca Shepherd, Taupo. Womens Division 2: lst, Karen Cranston, Ohakune; 2nd, Trinette Mott, Ohakune. Womens Division 3: lst* Erin Workman, Ohakune; 2nd, Cath Campbell, Ohakune. Ladies Morping commences on Tuesday from 9am to 1 2pm. Everybody is welcome and participants are requested to bring $1 to cover the costs of the lights. A new team event is being tried this year on club nights and should be a lot of fun. Club night also starts this week and it is on Thursday nights from 6pm.
